Motorbike helmet full of technology

Hm, a lot of information on top of the visual and tactile ones when riding a bike, e.g. navigation information, extra rearview information, calling information, and so on, as can be seen in the video. But in different situations such an helmet can be very helpful I know.

Smart highways

Self lighting roads in the night, showing also the driving conditions, a lane to charge electric cars, and so on. Seems to be very interesting research which is starting now in a Dutch province.

Third eye in the back of the head

In the name of art the New York University professor Wafaa Bilal had implanted a titanium connection base for a magnetically camera in the back of his head.

That’s a really nice thing for new use cases. For example think about hacking at the computer in the front and watching TV in the back. *fun* But seriously you can have more overview while walking in dark streets. I’m sure this is very interesting for military purposes.

The questions are: Is the human brain able to process this third eye? Actually W. Bilal is looking at the video data with his own two eyes via laptop. But what if one connects the camera with a brain computer interface directly with the mind? Why didn’t do nature such things? Is the human going crazy because not knowing where he is going (forward or backward)? Is this a new step towards cyborgs?

Absolutely distracted from the road

Here is a guy who invented some nice thing:

He wants to tell us that “you are absolutely not distracted in any way from the road”. Sorry but: Are you kidding us? In that case what’s the purpose of the “new steering wheel”- to remind the driver to his duty of attention to the traffic?

What a cute demonstration of a nice technology – acting as you have a computer mouse without a mouse:

Probably this gives us the opportunity to interact almost everywhere (in a traditional style) with a laptop (in bed, at kitchen table, etc.) without carrying around the (hardware) mouse.

One has the ability to feel the ‘click’ and so you have tactile feedback of initiating a interaction function. But what if one acts with the hand out of the camera sight? Whill there be false inputs or no one? How to inform the user of the right hand position?
